This monitor is exactly what it says: a simple counter for your rowing machine. The magnetoresistive screen is a bit unusual—no backlight, so readability depends on lighting. It tracks strokes and possibly time, but don't expect distance or calories. The plastic body feels light and somewhat fragile. Installation was easy with the included bracket, but I had to rig a sensor myself since none was provided. For $53, it's pricey for such a basic device. Only get this if you need a minimalist counter and have a compatible machine.
